We love a feisty female lead who dares to kiss her boss like it’s nothing. If the previous episode was a lot of fun, it’s even better news that this episode 5 just proved that a drama can still improve as the episodes go by.
This was a lot of fun and the most I’ve had yet! It actually focused on the characters trying to figure out why luck has either been on their side or not. Lu Xing Cheng is still not buying it though, but there’s one thing that he’s into: having Tong Xiaoyou by his side! This episode proved to me that this drama can still redeem itself from its subpar pilot.
The exchange of luck begins and the leads are becoming closer. Second male lead is starting to become a pest. A very good-looking pest at that…
Dao Ming Si, is that you? I’m happy to share that I saw a bit of improvement in the drama. The plot starts to fully form as early as this episode! Since I don’t have a lot of time on my hands anymore unlike the good ol’ times when I could do a play-by-play recap and review of Jerry Yan‘s My Best Ex-boyfriend and Shen Yue‘s Meteor Garden 2018, I will just always talk about the things I liked, did not like, and other thoughts per episode.
HA! I caught you staring, didn’t I? In a world where everyone watches K-dramas and swoons over oppas, you may consider me a rare species who mostly watches Taiwanese and Chinese dramas and still be crazy over Jerry Yan. I may be one of his biggest fans out there, but it seems like I need to keep Counting My Lucky Stars (watch more episodes) before I could fully appreciate it. Continue reading
2019 is one interesting year in dramas. Many dramas came out to be successful and loved by everyone. Interestingly, it was a 2019 drama that brought me to a slump for the very first time in my dramaland years. Although you will see how it was the 2019 dramas that saved me from it too! Similar to my previous yearly round-ups, this contains my mini-reviews for each drama that I have completed this year. Luckily, I managed to watch some really good ones still! Don’t hesitate to read more if you want to!
You must have been living under a rock if you have not witnessed the pandemonium brought about the release of the upcoming 2020 Chinese rom-com drama, “Count Your Lucky Stars”, starring Jerry Yan and Shen Yue.
In this post, I will air out all my thoughts based on the trailer and what to expect next now that we know all of those things. Let’s start counting our lucky stars, shall we?

How long has it been since we have been hooked by a Taiwanese drama? Let me highlight that it’s not just a Taiwanese drama, but a non-idol Taiwanese drama. It was presented as a drama about cheating, betrayal, and sexual desires but this drama is more than what meets the eye.
As an avid drama-watcher and blogger for five years, I was just in complete denial that I was experiencing this so-called “drama slump” for months. Then came “Before We Get Married” and to say that I have become alive again in drama land is just an understatement.
I wrote this article for it to be a venue for my thoughts on the drama but most especially, for everyone watching it to share their sentiments here! I have been reading many people who wanted to talk about the drama but have not really found people to have that kind of discussion with.
So I hope this post can help!
Sounds really relatable…. Adding this as my next plan-to-watch!
