Round Up: What I’ve Been Watching Recently + Upcoming Blogging Plans
It takes someone special to be able to procrastinate from writing a belated birthday post (Yes, SkimmedMilkDrama celebrated our 2nd birthday on 16 April!) into giving a general drama/blog update.
Dramarian on Hiatus
Hello lovely readers! Long time no see, right?!! Well, it’s going to be longer as I’ll be explaining why I haven’t/won’t be blogging in so long.
1. WORK. I honestly didn’t expect this work to take over my life and it’s been crazy and challenging but I can manage! I’ve been working for 3 months to be exact today 😊
2. STUDY. I have a major board exam coming up which will take place this coming August 30 & 31! This will be the biggest test that I will be taking so please do pray for me!
3. JAPAN! I’m glad to share with you friends that our thesis/final research paper has been chosen to be presented in the upcoming Yokohama conference this coming July 24-29. Will be basically staying in Japan for one week yay!
Preparations for #2 & #3 have been ongoing and this is why I haven’t been blogging 😦 I seriously miss it but you can guarantee that I’ll be back once #2 & #3 have finished with flying colors!
Meanwhile, here’s what’s been happening in my now limited fangirl world:
– REALITY SHOWS! Crazy over The Great Challenge (C-version of “Infinite Challenge” with Ethan Ruan!!) and We Are In Love Season 2 with Bolin & Jihyo aka my parents
– DRAMAS. Actually had time to finish My Queen and Scarlet Heart and they’ve ruined my life at some point. Also got to rewatch my classic faves like In Time With You, Fated to Love You, etc.
So that’s what’s been happening so far and it doesn’t mean that I’ve completely disappeared from dramaland as you can still see me tweet regularly in @SMilkdrama 😊💕 hope to see you once I get to blog again!
P.S. I still check my Weibo every night since it has become my tradition lol and also read blogs here on WordPress from time to time 😉

In an attempt to keep this blog alive, I would like to invite you, our dear reader, to contribute as guest bloggers! You need not be a great writer, you just need to be fluent in english and passionate about dramas to qualify!
2015 WordPress Annual Report
Hello everyone, we are reaching the end of 2015. My drama portfolio this year was lacklustre so I’ll let Marian post all the Year-End Round-up posts while I share about what was actually a big deal for me this year – blogging about dramas and variety shows!
The number 1 big milestone would of course be the fact that we bought our own domain and moved to http://www.skimmedmilkdrama.com.
Other than that, the WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for this blog so we can see what other records this new blog holds as well. It has pretty interesting statistics including the number of views from each country and the most active commenters.
We are now SKIMMEDMILKDRAMA.COM
And not Skimmedmilkdrama.wordpress.com any more 🙂

Also, I’m here to announce I’m off my hiatus! I will be posting frequently and here’s what I’m going to work on:-
SkimmedMilkDrama is now on Twitter!
Good News, Good News! We are now on Twitter as a form of an accompaniment to this blog. Hope you can follow us here: @SMilkdrama and we will definitely follow you back! (yup, Twitter didn’t allow @SkimmedMilkDrama boohoo)
Cartoon characters for The Legend of Miyue
Can’t wait for 30th November so I can start watching! I have high hopes for this since this is from the same team that produced Legend of Zhen Huan. Hopefully, it will live up to my expectations.
This is 81 episodes long and while daunting, I’m going make this the very first drama I’m going to recap while it is airing! Hope to see you along with me on my journey then 🙂
When you can’t over-scheme, counter and conquer with your cuteness.
Cute character stills for The Legend of Miyue have come out. Starring Sun Li, Liu Tao, Huang Xuan, Jiang Xin, Ma Su, Gao Yunxiang, and Alex Fong, it is nice to see contrasting funny and lighthearted pictures for what looks to be another political drama going thick on the scheming.
More stills and other promotional goodies below the cut.
