If you must know, I started working on this chapter on 1 Jan 2019. Real life had been overwhelming but I foresee some free time in the near future where I can work on these translations. Hopefully, I’ll be able to make some decent progress, just like Bei Xiaowu.
2019 is one interesting year in dramas. Many dramas came out to be successful and loved by everyone. Interestingly, it was a 2019 drama that brought me to a slump for the very first time in my dramaland years. Although you will see how it was the 2019 dramas that saved me from it too! Similar to my previous yearly round-ups, this contains my mini-reviews for each drama that I have completed this year. Luckily, I managed to watch some really good ones still! Don’t hesitate to read more if you want to!
I am in shock. And this is not good shock. I haven’t been paying attention to entertainment news for the longest time ever and I definitely didn’t thought that the next time I came back to write a post here would be because of such an incident.
Godfrey Gao, 35, passed away after suffering from a cardiac arrest during the filming of a sports reality show, Catch Me.
(In case anyone is wondering why there are two similar posts, I do realise that Marian had already shared her tribute post earlier but I only saw that after deciding I would like to share my thoughts about this whole incident and also document my journey with Godfrey. I guess writing everything out does help with rationalising and accepting the fact.)
You must have been living under a rock if you have not witnessed the pandemonium brought about the release of the upcoming 2020 Chinese rom-com drama, “Count Your Lucky Stars”, starring Jerry Yan and Shen Yue.
In this post, I will air out all my thoughts based on the trailer and what to expect next now that we know all of those things. Let’s start counting our lucky stars, shall we?
Credits to Jerry Yan Thailand and the respective Weibo owners for the lovely photos (see watermark).
The stage looked amazing and perfect for someone like Didi – – full of energy and character!
Let it be known that I am not Didi’s biggest fan (but yes, I lovingly call him that nickname). Heck, I’m not even a big fan. So why should you read this fangirl diary of mine if that’s the case, right?
Read more to find out if his fun meet was actually hmmm well, fun?

Better late than never? This is a long overdue post since the holidays never gave me a chance to lie down and write my drama thoughts. 2018 was a combination of bad and good things that happened in my life — and so, the dramas that I have watched this year were no different.
This year was definitely more productive than my last (click here for my 2017 round-up) but it was not necessarily a good thing as this year has proven that less is more when it comes to watching dramas.
I will have a lot more to say here so come with me in looking back at the dramas that I have watched this year!
There has been a rise in popularity of palace dramas since Legend of Zhen Huan. Scarlet Heart (Bu Bu Jing Xin), Legend of Miyue and the recent Story of Yanxi Palace and Ruyi’s Royal Love have all proved to be a great hit with audiences.
