This is one of my most anticipated films (see previous blog post for reference) of the year because of its powerhouse casting. [NEWS] Van Ness Wu returns to dramaland, enters C-dramaland

The drama gods have been very generous lately! Ever since Chinese period drama “The Princess Wei Young” (adapted from a novel with the same title) was in the news for finding its main leads in Tiffany Tang and Luo Jin, nothing much followed right after. It didn’t really catch my attention until they added another big name to the list of its cast members… Continue reading
Movie Monday: A Whole Lot of Firsts
I was supposed to create a year-end post of all the Asian movies that I watched this year but I realized that it might actually be already 2016 and I still won’t be able to finish this post haha! (I have watched 46 this year alone and counting).
Most people are into Asian dramas more than their films but there are times that I prefer the latter because it does not take so much time compared to the former. It would also be a waste if I just keep watching them and not write reviews about it. Thus, the birth of this segment!
In this first #MovieMonday, I’ll be reviewing five movies (3 Taiwanese and 2 Chinese) which deals with the theme: “Firsts”. Go read more to find out!
Year-End Special: 2015 Cover Girls
Hello, hello! I’m back and I’m already starting our Year-End Special series! I have always been a fan of magazines even before entering the world of C/TW-entertainment and this world seems to have so much to offer in my obsession over magazines so I’ve been enjoying this obsession even more 😀 This amazing year is almost ending and it has also released all the possible issues for the year even before December. So in this post, I’ll be posting 2015’s cover girls which are mostly my favorites. Trust me, it will be fun! Let’s start, shall we?

[NEWS]: The Amazing Race 3 China brings 2 F4 Members Back Together!
I seriously don’t know what to feel about this news because nothing is ever certain in the world of Chinese entertainment. Let me rephrase that, nothing is ever certain when you get a piece of news that is just too good to be true! Read more to find out about what could be next year’s biggest reality show in China.
[Weibo Round-Up]: Angelababy and Huang Xiaoming’s Fairytale Wedding
This is another special edition of my usual Weibo Updates/Round-Ups. It’s been a pretty busy week but it won’t stop me from writing about China’s biggest wedding of the year! How can I resist posting about this when both the groom and bride are just beyond perfect as themselves and for each other? 😀
In this post, I have compiled various Weibo posts from celebrity well-wishers (some went, some couldn’t) of this perfect couple who got married last October 8 in Shanghai in front of approximately 2,000 people! Read more to be in the know 😀
[NEWS] C-movie “Go Lala Go 2” with Taiwanese Triple Threat All Set for 11.11 Release
I’m pretty sure that the drama gods have been sleeping all these years when Vic Zhou and Ariel Lin’s respective careers in the Taiwanese dramaland have been skyrocketing. Well, it doesn’t matter now that the movie gods were surely awake and decided to spoil us fans with lots of love by putting these two together in a project. But wait, there’s more! These movie gods are just beyond amazing that they got Bolin Chen to be the second male lead of the movie. HELP!
I know you may have seen so many news articles about this movie already but I still wanted to write about it because I can no longer hold my excitement! It was originally slated to be released next year but the official Weibo account of the film actually announced that it’s going to be out this November 11. So how can a fangirl like me not be excited, right?
[NEWS] Joe Chen and Zhang Han reunite in C-movie “Youth Never Returns”
It has already been tried and tested that any movie or drama that focuses on youth, school, and nostalgia would yield to definite success. This is why there’s no stopping the Chinese entertainment industry from creating movies/dramas with those themes. Another formula to success is putting a tried and tested pairing in that kind of theme and voila! We can have something like “Youth Never Returns” which has a high probability of box-office success given that big stars like Joe Chen and Zhang Han are headlining it.
