I seriously don’t know what to feel about this news because nothing is ever certain in the world of Chinese entertainment. Let me rephrase that, nothing is ever certain when you get a piece of news that is just too good to be true! Read more to find out about what could be next year’s biggest reality show in China.
Tonight, the top 4 of Jay’s team will emerge. Jay shares that he wishes his students to be happy and not cry, even if they have to leave the stage. Unlike some other mentors… which we all know is Na Ying, because I mentioned this in my previous recap. Harlem then warned Jay better not to cry tonight. Well, we’ll see. Continue reading
UPDATE: GO FIGHTING! IS BACK ON AIR! 😀
As you probably know, I have been catching Go Fighting! religiously every week. When I posted my first impression post, it was still an unknown variety show. I had rave reviews about it and apparently I wasn’t the only one that thought so. Go Fighting! had been dubbed as the dark horse for this season of variety shows and it became really popular in China. (Look at my screencaps below and you will understand why!) However, troubles came together with it and it has suspended airing for 3 weeks. New episodes were never shown like they were supposed to be on August 16, August 23 and August 30. I did some research and found some possible reasons which I have translated into English below.
Today, we will be finding out the Top 4 of Na Ying’s team! The format for this episode is the same as the previous one. On a side note, I might consider dropping Voice of China Recaps soon, but it really depends on the demand. I can get more than 2,000 views for one recap and barely 500 for another, it’s inconsistent and I don’t know how much real demand there is. If it’s not much, I would be better off spending this time on more useful stuff (like my poor neglected studies haha). Enough of that, back to the main topic, let’s get started for today!
Na Ying invited Li Jian to be her guest mentor for today! Continue reading
Blind auditions are over! This week, we have Wang Feng’s team competing against each other! The vocal coach that Wang Feng sought help from is the youngest in Voice of China history – Deng Ziqi, G.E.M. Tonight, Wang Feng’s team will be split into 6 pairs and each pair will sing one song and P.K. against each other. The winner will make it into the top 6 of Wang Feng’s team. Each of the three other judges, Jay, Na Ying and Harlem, as well as guest judge, G.E.M., will vote and give Wang Feng their suggestion on who they think is better. However, Wang Feng will be the ultimate judge and be able to make his own decision. After that, there will be another PK round where the top 4 emerges.
Contestant: Yang Bao Xin, 21 vs Zhang Bo Lin, 17
I bet this episode is going to be exciting, there’s only so little slots left for each of the judges, it’s gonna be tense. They will probably fill all the slots today! This episode, we start off with a s soothing song performance by the first contestant right at the start, without any gimmicks or whatsoever. The first 5 contestants’ performance are cut and compressed into 5 minutes.
Contestant 1: Zhang Bo Lin, 17
Background: Year 2 student in High School Continue reading
Another short highlight with more focus on my thoughts 🙂
