This recap post probably wins for having the most number of photos/screencaps because of: 1.) both episodes 33 and 34 just gave a lot of reasons to screencap which you’ll know if you decide to read more 2.) we’re slowly approaching towards the end of the series so all the possible happenings in the drama are starting to reveal (or have revealed) themselves.
So are you ready for this long recap post? 😀
EPISODE 33
We ended episode 32 with Fangsi still waiting for Tang to come back so we start episode 33 with a flashback scene from 6 years ago. She waited in their usual meet-up place f0r the whole day because she was willing to give Li Tang a second chance again even if she got mad at him for selling her shop. However, he never came…
we go to the present time and our Li Tang is back!
Haoran finally found Fangsi after searching everywhere!
Fangsi started to tell Haoran the important details of how her relationship with Tang ended exactly 6 years ago…
Honestly hated Haoran at this very moment because that’s what all he said when Fangsi was clearly emotional in reminiscing her past.
Fangsi narrated how Tang waited for her the whole night even if she didn’t want to talk to him after finding out that he sold her shop. However, when she sent the text message to Tang and he never came, she felt so much pain even if she only waited for a few hours.
Oh Haoran, I hated you even more in this scene! Tang has always been worth it for her as you can see…
It just touched my heart that she was defending how she was feeling towards Tang! *my heart*
and our male lead enters the scene! *insert squeals*
*more squeals* and our poor Haoran gets to witness the reunion of Fangsi and Tang but he just had to leave when he saw them…
KISSED!!! And this time, Fangsi was more than willing to 😀
I would hit Tang hard too because of what he did but it’s easy to forgive if I get a kiss from him haha! And because now we know why he left all of a sudden…
Now we (the audience) and Tang himself know how much he means to Fangsi!
Tang told Fangsi that it’s been 6 years and it should just be right that he knows his position in her life.
Jerry’s character in dramas always seems to be the one who says I love you first (e.g. Meteor Garden, Starlit, My Splendid Life, etc). The way he said it to her was just so cute though!
This is why dramas give us such unrealistic expectations of men… where can I get my own Li Tang?!
Fangsi told Tang that she’s been waiting for him the whole day just like 6 years ago and he wasn’t even aware of it because…
we go back to the same flashback scene which was shown in one of the past episodes that happened when Fangsi and Tang broke up. He met Xiangnan when he was walking like a dead person who didn’t seem to care about the world and unconsciously dropped his phone…
So one of the commenters in my recap posts guessed it right!
Fangsi didn’t mind since she got used to him always being late anyway. This time, Tang promises that they would be inseparable now!
People with second male lead syndrome are probably as heartbroken as Haoran is now. He did so many things for Fangsi but his feelings were never reciprocated by her.
I love Haoran’s use of this sand to compare with his feelings towards Fangsi. He said that just like the sand, it was slowly building up and he was also willing to become a castle to protect her. However, Tang is still clearly in her heart.
Couple goals: stay in your favorite meeting place with your lover from night until you’ve seen the sun rise. Though my parents would’ve killed me if I do this so I’ll probably just wait until I reach Fangsi’s age?!! HAHAHA.
Fangsi told Tang that he must really hate her for using their break-up date to be his password in everything (house lock, important files, etc).
He said that he could never forget that day even if it many years have passed already.
He also said, who did she think he was? some kind of text message garbage that she could just throw away?! Although he was so angry about it, he said that he would always tell himself in his unhappy and happy times that it would be better if Fangsi was there with him (aww!).
then that escalated quickly! Someone who never believed in marriage before is actually telling his one and only love to marry him.
You were able to tolerate the same person for 10 years so I have no idea how you can’t give an answer right away? 😮
Fangsi lied to her mom about where she went last night. She just told her that she got a little drunk from the banquet so she sobered up before coming home. The lie didn’t work because her mom’s beloved Xiao Li delivered love breakfast for them haha!
Momma has nothing to worry about since her daughter’s getting married to him anyway. I just love how he said it so casually when Fangsi clearly hasn’t given her answer yet…
And he had so much confidence to tell her mom because of this… oh Tang! Never change please haha!
Haoran enters the scene and because our Tang has always been thick-skinned… he proudly tells him that…
oops he almost said it!
I just had to screencap this scene because who doesn’t love an overprotective and jealous male lead?! haha!
This is why Fangsi didn’t want to know about what Haoran did to her. Really funny!
She kissed Tang on the cheek to ease his feelings of hatred towards Haoran. It just made me so happy because we can actually see Fangsi being unusually sweet and Tang’s facial expressions were just so adorable!
You said it! And so we’re back with our gossip girls fighting over who matches their boss Fangsi more!
Gossip girls’ leader Du Niang bets on Tang while cutie Jiaxin continues to bet on Haoran.
Though the former pro-Tang Xiao Nai doesn’t want her beloved boss to end up with either of them!
Fangsi’s momma is already deciding on the perfect wedding date for her daughter and Xiao Li even if Fangsi hasn’t actually agreed to him yet. You go, momma!
Fangsi decided to check on how her good ol’ neighbor’s doing but she was just disappointed to see him so drunk. Haoran attempted to kiss her but he just passed out. I feel so bad for him now 😦
. This scene just made me laugh because one facial feature that I super love about Jerry is his sharp (and unplastic) nose lol!
Fangsi told Tang that he could tell her anything that’s been bothering me. He was thinking about his father who’s suffering now because of the people who have been suspecting him of leaking important information to Tang. Both Da Luo and Fangsi think it’s time that Tang quits using battle weapons because he’s still his father after all.
Gossip girls attack their boss to find out the truth!
*evil laughs* I guess Xiao Nai doesn’t know her boss well enough when I actually thought that she does!
Tang dragged Fangsi out of the gossip girls and brought her to the office inside the factory that he bought for her. He also let her know his original intention for buying this place (so Haoran can’t blackmail him with anything anymore).
*more tears* *and more hearts melting* which we will continue in the next episode!
EPISODE 34
and so our female lead was unusually shedding tears because of Tang’s touching speech and gesture. Only he is able to make her cry (aww!)
Tang starts his longer touching speech…
AAAAHHH! He proposes to his one and only Fangsi!
and starts to cry 😥
He promises to be more mature and serious for her as he has always promised her in the past.
Our beloved gossip girls are happily cheering for this couple of the century!
our heroine says yes!!!
So apparently, there was a competition on piggy-back riding when they were in college (flashback scene). Even if I have back problems, I’d definitely be okay if I get to have a Jerry/Tang riding on my back… 😉 haha!
We’re back to the present time and Fangsi actually figured out that Tang purposely had that kind of competition plan out that way so he could be closer to her. Aww!
He made it a requirement for their student union so he could convince Fangsi to join.
Fangsi told him that he owes her a lot because her thighs hurt a lot from carrying him for one month. So Tang told him that he would carry her for the rest of his life *my heart’s melting*. Really, Fangsi?! Why would you need to think about it? I’d say yes all the way haha!
A sign that Haoran’s going to let go of this sand in which he compared his feelings to towards Fangsi.
Fangsi’s momma sees that her daughter’s engaged for real! However, she disagrees! Wait, I’m really confused, momma… All this time I thought you were pro-Tang?!
Momma told her daughter to observe more since that’s what she said before but Fangsi said that she thinks she has already observed enough. Her mom asks, what if he returns to his old self? Fangsi doesn’t think so and she’ll start believing in him.
I just knew it, momma! It would be impossible for her to be suddenly anti-Tang with no reason so there’s actually a reason why she wasn’t allowing her daughter to marry him.
I just had to take a screencap of this because Maggie/Fangsi looked so adorable looking at her precious diamond ring!
Move over, Tang and Fangsi! We get another scene with our new ship, Benjamin and Xiao Nai! He talked about how upset he was about Fangsi breaking Haoran’s heart.
Xiao Nai gave him an advice using a cup of tea. If he doesn’t know which one is his, he has no choice but to taste before he finds out which one is his. So I just love that Benjamin answered this though she wasn’t able to hear it. I just love them! 😉
bottle of sand + Tong Lin floral diamonds = Haoran’s indicators of love for Fangsi which were just left abandoned since she never came to receive them.
This has actually been emphasized by Benjamin to Haoran before, that he didn’t fail in giving the same attention to Fangsi the way Tang did. However, Fangsi took his feelings for granted.
Fangsi apologizes to him because she feels bad about ignoring his feelings for her. Haoran kept saying that he doesn’t need her to pity him since he doesn’t regret anything. It was just him who started admiring her for her work attitude but he ended up falling in love with her.
He told her that maybe if they had met earlier, then things would probably not end up the way they are now.
She frankly told him that she’d still probably choose Tang (ouch!). He said, couldn’t she at least lie to him? Then Fangsi told him that she can’t lie to him because it would just hurt him.
OVERUSED DRAMA PLOT LINE: the second male lead gets friend-zoned!
Du Niang collects money from both Jiaxin and Xiao Nai after winning their bet on who Fangsi would choose. Jiaxin wants another bet! I just love how she has always been for Haoran haha! Now that’s a strong shipper heart right there. Xiao Nai and her believe that Fangsi can still change her mind if ever Tang becomes too difficult to handle again.
Tang’s going to give back Fancy to Fangsi. It’s apparently all set now and all that they have to do is to go to the law firm and sign the legal documents needed to complete the transfer of ownership back to Fangsi. She wasn’t willing to because he should’ve at least discussed his plans with her first before making any decisions.
Tang’s father called and invited them for a meal. Fangsi wasn’t willing to go because it’s just all too fast now but Tang insisted…
His father was indeed in a good mood because all he talked about was how Tang excelled in managing the company’s problems and didn’t even give him a hard time by giving up on their US-based company.
So Fangsi proposed a toast with her father-in-law (who saw her diamond ring) but the calmness of the situation ended when…
Classic drama tale: Parent(s) disagreeing to their child’s choices in life but more specifically, who they choose to be with. Is it just me or is this Hot Shot 2.0, Meteor Garden 2.0, etc. all over again?!! HAHA.
We have yet to find out why actually…
His father just said that Fangsi’s even greedier than Xiangnan but we have actually yet to see that greediness that his father’s talking about…
That’s what I’m talking about! Isn’t your son too old already to be under your control?! But this is dramaland, where inheriting a company and being in a fixed marriage are the main antagonistic scenarios…
but love will triumph, of course! but it’s just too early to say that because there are still A LOT of things that will take place!
Fangsi takes off her engagement ring (noooo!!!) because she wants everything to be cleared out between Tang and his father first. I don’t know if you watched Gossip Girl before, maybe you did at least once but if you watched until the end like I did, this scene reminded me of Chuck and Blair who couldn’t be together unless they get to fix their own personal issues first. Tang’s case is exactly like Chuck’s wherein he has to settle the problem with his father first. Okay I couldn’t help but share so I’m sorry if you think it wasn’t necessary for me to compare haha!
Tang told Fangsi that it’s obvious that his problem with his father will never be cleared out. Fangsi’s really optimistic about it because he already started complimenting him which means that he can already recognize him as his son. So they should wait for everything to be okay before they decide to get married.
Even if she returns the ring to him, she said that she would never leave him. Love them huhu!
Fangsi called out Tang for calling his own father Mr. Li so he decided to annoy her more lol!
So Fangsi told Tang that they should go back and talk to his dad properly. He can do it since he’s thick-skinned anyway (for kissing her first). I love the silly faces that they make!
but when they went back to see his father again, he was already on the floor!
He refused to go to the hospital and stayed in Tang’s house but only for an ulterior motive which is to get his passport. In that way, he won’t be able to go to the USA and get married to Fangsi there…
Now we know where Tang got his childishness… his father is just so childish that I couldn’t even take it @_@ his dad doesn’t like going to Tang’s place because it was a gift from his mom. We’ll learn more about Tang’s dad and his estranged relationship with his mom in the next episode.
HAHA I finally guessed something right (which is actually obvious!). Xiangnan and Amy have been conniving against our leads!
Haoran was called for a meeting with Qiao Na Shen’s (one of NSH’s shareholders) wife who happens to be his ex-girlfriend… Long time no see, Xiangnan!
Oh Haoran, you have always been blinded by this woman! Don’t give in, please!
Here’s a girl who kept whining in the first few episodes for being Fangsi’s assistant forever but she actually agreed to be someone’s assistant again who happens to be a much more worse person. Oh well, birds of the same feather flock together!
So now we know what Xiangnan’s favor is… Haoran, don’t give in!!! Though I’m quite sure that you will because you’re such a hao ren (good person) lol!
We end this episode with a vengeful Xiangnan who has obviously plotted this planning so well just to make Tang and his dad pay for what they did to her. This could pass as a plot for a horror/psycho movie actually haha!
My thoughts in a nutshell:
- I just had to point out that it’s obvious that Jerry has been showing signs of aging and yet he manages to remain adorable! Not to mention that him and Maggie just have so much chemistry 😀
- This can be a useful advice from dramaland if ever you have someone who’s been giving you mixed signals, just disappear for awhile and then you’ll know for sure if you really matter to him/ her haha!
- My feelings towards Haoran have been so consistent so far because my feelings have been consistently inconsistent… Sometimes I just hate him but sometimes I just pity him!
- If episode 33 gave me a lot to love about the drama, the 34th episode just gave me reasons to hate it. Really annoying characters have joined full force here (Tang’s dad, Amy, and Xiangnan!)
- Xiangnan’s back but we all know that her return isn’t going to do us and our main leads good!
- So what did you think of today’s episodes? 😀 episode 33 reached 80 screencaps while episode 34 almost reached 80 wow @_@ the average number of screencaps for an episode recap is 20+ so this is really shocking! Are you looking forward to it now that Xiangnan’s back and now that Tang and Fangsi are
engaged?
Episode 33 was the best episode in this drama,,omg there were really cute and amazing when i watched them,,im so happy with this MBEBF. i want to read news about jerry and maggie.

i do enjoy watching this drama, even sometimes i skipped here and there, haha.. especially with that xiangnan, but haoran never learns and i dislike him for this. why he fell in the same hole again and again.. sigh.
i hope the bond between fangsi and li tang wont never be separated..
btw, is his dad an antagonist or he acts like that in order to make li tang becomes mature???

yesss it’s until episode 42 so I’ll be recapping until the end! Haoran can be so annoying for always believing in Xiangnan lol and yesss, Tang and Fangsi forever!!! Not sure actually, he can be simply naturally childish and yet it’s also a motive for the betterment of his son 😀 thank you so much for commenting! 🙂
