No time is wasted in every episode because each episode is just so eventful in this drama. I can hardly keep up! *inserts funny Tang-Fangsi scene just because*
EPISODE 19
We’re finally in the hospital with Tang and Fangsi. Fangsi’s face in my screencap is just so funny haha! She makes fun of Tang because of his injured buttocks.
He abuses his role as a patient and did not just ask for food from Fangsi…
Tang actually managed to make a deal with Fangsi by getting her to return to the company while he agrees with her to go to the hospital.
Xiangnan calls Tang but gets a surprise instead when it was Fangsi who answered his phone.
When will we ever understand this woman…
Tang didn’t expect Xiangnan to visit him since it was just Fangsi who was with him all this time.
Tang told Xiangnan that she doesn’t need to take care of him anymore but she insists that they’re still friends so it’s okay.
aka Tang is just eager to end things with Xiangnan. We’ll see how this all plays out later!
Tang being a Best Ex-Boyfriend material 😉
It is only now that I’m recapping that I got to understand why Tang was so happy about marking the dates on the calendar. On a sidenote, I think it was Jerry himself who drew that sunny/smiley face because that’s what he usually draws whenever he signs autographs (refer to my previous recap just in case you want to know/remember why he loves the sun 😉
Fangsi gets a weird nightmare and the timing wasn’t just right especially that…
Our heroine fulfills her promise to Tang and reports back to Tang Huang! *celebratory dance*
she did not just get job back because she also got promoted! *celebratory dance part 2*
Tang was about to reveal to everyone what Weya did to Fangsi but she had to drag him to a private space just to tell him that he shouldn’t do that. If he does then the design contest that his company carried out would be a laughing stock. Tang was definitely touched that Fangsi cared enough for him even if it wouldn’t benefit her at all.
Fangsi didn’t want to have anything to do with Tang but she told herself that it would be best for her to start anew even if it means dealing with her past. She admits that Tang is her weakness because everything seems to not go according to plan when he’s there.
Why it’s good news: she’s not jobless anymore. Why it’s not good: she’s not jobless anymore. Of course these aren’t just the real reasons because there are actually more but I just wanted to copy Benjamin’s style of relaying the news to Haoran. Haha!
It’s been awhile but, CATFIGHT! This time, it involves my 2 most favorite characters in the drama. Weya was just asking for help from Xiangnan but she realized that she was just a tool that was used by Xiangnan in order to get revenge on Fangsi. Now that she has been used, she realized that Xiangnan’s just going to get rid of her after.
Gossip-mongers in the Tang Huang office wanted to know about what happened to the Weya-Fangsi design-stealing fiasco and someone felt guilty…
Fangsi sees Xiao Nai writing a resignation letter and she told her that it’s better to apologize than to resign. She said sorry then Fangsi immediately forgave her that’s why she thought that she was just taking pity on her.
Xiao Nai aired out all of her feelings towards Fangsi. All this time Fangsi admitted that she never thought that it would cause so much pain to her. All is well that ends well since they finally had the time to understand each other so Xiao Nai and Fangsi are back to being inseparable partners again!
EPISODE 20
Xiangnan sees Haoran and she tells him that she would name the drink that he’s currently drinking as “does not lie”. She tells him that she needs his help in order to find a job for Ou Weya…
Haoran isn’t willing to help Xiangnan with Weya because why would he when she did such a despicable things against Fangsi?! He told her that she was probably only doing it so that her perfectly good image in front of Tang wouldn’t be destroyed.
She admits to herself that she fell in love with Tang but this wasn’t her main reason for asking for help from Haoran. She just took it the hard way by saying that she’s not lying and she’s doing it for Li Tang. It’s also going to be the last favor that she will ask from Haoran.
He agrees then when Xiangnan left, he breaks everything (the characters in this drama just love breaking things here). Why did he have to fall in love, be fooled, and failed in love twice and with the same person as well?!
In order to celebrate Fangsi’s return and promotion in Tang Huang, they all went to a KTV to celebrate! Tang was losing in a numbers game (which I’d love to try!) so he had to drink a lot but Fangsi just drank the rest instead.
Tang Huang’s employees continue playing and it was Fangsi’s turn to pick out a card. She got a big risk card so Jiaxin said, since she’s usually so serious in the office, she should dance in front of them. Flashback scene: Tang and Fangsi in a dance class aka just being sweet and adorable. Not sure why they joined a class but I’m guessing it’s because of her jolly mommy (who dances until now!).
*TEARS*. Fangsi didn’t want to dance anymore, she said that she’ll do it next time. Tang told her that she keeps saying that so there must be a condition. She should give him her first dance but she said that there’s no problem because who else would she give it to?!
Back to the present time: Tang was happy to share this dance with Fangsi. (Hold me!!! BRB feels overload)
Fangsi told him that she has no talent in this department because all she does is design. Then he told her the line above… Feels x1000!
While Fangsi fell asleep because of her drunken state, Tang was put on the spotlight by his employees and he was asked about his wedding with Xiangnan. It was just funny that Fangsi suddenly woke up and acted normal when she heard about the current topic then left the KTV.
Tang, being the Best Ex-Boyfriend he is, chases after her so he could take her home. I just knew that these following scenes were going to be funny when a drunk Haoran was in sight.
Tang is always against Haoran so he called him out for acting or pretending to be drunk LOL.
What happens when someone like Tang is accompanied by 2 drunk people? Especially that one is his ex-girlfriend while one is his ultimate rival in love?!
A series of funny scenes! That’s what happens!
Tang doesn’t even care enough for Haoran to be his wingman but he obviously took the responsibility because he cares enough for Fangsi. He forced Fangsi to go home since he’ll be the one to take care of Haoran instead of her aka he just doesn’t want to leave the two of them behind especially that they’re both drunk haha!
Tang being funny and talking to a super drunk Haoran lol!
Ou Weya calls Tang for a meeting so she could show these photos to him.
His good friend, Director Shen, asks him what his next plans are. He said that with the photos or not, he would still go on with the original plan with Xiangnan.
Fangsi goes to Tang for him to pay up the bill that he left last night. He said that it would be unfair because he became a maid to Haoran for her so she said that she’ll just pay instead. Haha! He also scolded her for not telling him that she was able to get home safely. Oh Tang, she was actually going to but she thought of it deeply and realized that your relationship is just a boss-employee relationship so she didn’t go on in sending you a text.
Xiangnan goes to Tang about the leakage of the photos brought about by Ou Weya. However, Tang didn’t care much about it of course.
Director Luo interrupts them and tells them to watch the news… Reporters flocked around the area of Tang Huang just to get some scoops regarding the leaked photos of the mysterious Mr. Y and Xiangnan. She told Tang that they should just go tell the truth rather than delaying it and since this was all her fault anyway…
Tang tells the media that it would be inevitable for Haoran and Xiangnan to meet because the latter is the company’s spokesperson while the former is a brand partner of theirs. He even said that he was actually with Xiangnan when the photo was taken except that he was in the restroom so the paparazzi failed to capture a photo with him in it.
He didn’t listen to Xiangnan about telling the truth to the media… Fangsi and Haoran were able to witness what Tang just did and I felt like something pierced through my heart… Okay, that’s just me being overly attached to the characters haha!
Flashback scenes of Tang and Xiangnan in the past: His basketball landed near Xiangnan who was crying over Fangsi’s bullying. He saw her torn sketches and asked her why she ripped them when they were actually not bad. He then gave her a Coke bottle and told her that if she drinks it, she’ll be happier. Jerry and his indirect endorsement of Coke again haha!
More flashback scenes: Xiangnan was forced by her manager to wear racy clothes for a photoshoot with Li Enterprise (Tang’s dad’s company).
We see a sneak peek of Don Juan’s beginnings. The manager told Xiangnan that Tang definitely doesn’t care about her because he has so many women lined up so she should just do the photoshoot. So it was really touching that Tang came to her rescue and even said such sweet words!
We go back to the present: Xiangnan’s just beyond grateful to have Tang by her side protecting her again.
My thoughts in a nutshell:
- Ending this post with a cute Li Tang smirk because why not?! He once again protected Xiangnan’s image and I seriously don’t know what to feel about it except that my Fangsi-Tang shipper heart is hurting 😥
- Though I have to admit, Tang has always been such a loving boyfriend to Xiangnan. The flashback scene in their college days where they met was actually so touching. I’m not quite sure if the first ever flashback scene of Xiangnan and Tang’s meeting went first than this though.
- I also feel bad for Haoran who has always been exerting effort to be with Xiangnan but he was just hurt twice by the same person.
- I can say that I have a lot of favorite episodes already in a span of 20 episodes so far but episode 20 has got to be one of them. It made me feel a lot of feels if it makes any sense because of the first dance scene of Tang and Fangsi (*tears*).
- And how Tang rescued Xiangnan was just worth facepalming but a drama needs some angst as well so I love that they did that. Tang is just a really good ex-boyfriend and I’d die to have someone like him who’s so protective and caring.
- A huge factor why this drama is giving me so much feels is probably because Jerry/Tang and Maggie/Fangsi have so much chemistry. This is just Jerry’s 3rd Chinese drama but Maggie Jiang is already my favorite leading lady of his out of all 3 (other ladies: Yedda Chen and Tong Li Ya)!
- So what do you think of today’s episodes? Are you also having feels like I do? haha! Hope I can know your opinions through the comments section below 😀
